Frank: When do you think substance abuse accelerated?
It seemed to accelerate in the last five years, but I may just become more aware of the prevalence in recent years.

Frank: How has the upsurge in drugs usage affected you?
At one poitn I and other were discussing the need for an intervention on an addicted friend.

What measures can prevent substance abuse/ misuse?
Improve people's lives and mental health. Organize healthy positive activities for at-risk people. Law enforcement should focus most on drug cartels (including pharmaceuticals), distributors, and corruption.
